What it means
The number only means something once a conversion is defined. For a treatment center the useful ones are calls to admissions, verification of benefits submissions and chat or contact forms, ideally followed through to assessments and admissions.
A single site-wide rate hides more than it shows. Traffic sources convert very differently, so measure by channel and by page; a visitor arriving on a detox page from paid search is not the same visitor as one reading a blog post from social media.
Changes to the pages that matter add up. After we redesigned Cornerstone Healing Center's site, its website conversions rose 20 percent, by the client's own measurement.
Why it matters for your website
Track every conversion type, calls included through call tracking, before you change anything, or you will not be able to tell whether a change helped.
Fix the obvious leaks first: mobile speed, a tap-to-call number in view, a short insurance form, and a clear next step on every level-of-care page.
